Cookie Policy
This policy distinguishes the codecorrect.app website from CodeCorrect running in a merchant's Shopify checkout.
1. This website
codecorrect.app is a static page. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no advertising or social tracking scripts. Nothing is stored in your browser when you read it.
Two external resources are loaded: web fonts from Google Fonts, and the contact form is submitted to Formspree when — and only when — you press Get In Touch. Both providers see your IP address as part of serving that request, as any web server does. Neither sets a cookie on this site.
2. CodeCorrect inside a merchant's checkout
CodeCorrect uses the functional cookie cc_discount_session. It contains a random session identifier used to maintain discount sessions and enforce offer limits, and expires 48 hours after its last refresh.
Without analytics consent, this cookie is created when a discount code is rejected, rather than during ordinary navigation. We treat the automatic discount functionality and this cookie as essential to providing the discount service.
CodeCorrect analytics runs only when analytics consent has been given and stops when consent is withdrawn. Marketing consent or consent to the sale of data is not required for the automatic discount functionality. You can manage your consent using the merchant's consent controls.
3. Server-side records
The cookie's expiry is separate from retention of server-side records. Checkout, session, offer-history and related customer-level analytics records have a 90-day retention period, with automatic daily cleanup. Merchant configuration and unused coupon inventory are separate from this cleanup.
Restricted, pseudonymous deletion markers are retained for 180 days to prevent deleted records from being recreated. Backups have separate expiry schedules. See our Privacy Policy for storage locations, deletion procedures and backup retention.
4. Changes
We will update this policy when our cookie or storage practices change, and update the date above. If we introduce website analytics or other technologies requiring consent, we will provide the appropriate consent mechanism.
