Terms & Conditions

Last updated 10 October 2026

These terms govern use of the CodeCorrect Shopify application and related services provided by CartBooster.

1. Parties

These terms form an agreement between CartBooster Limited, company number 13969401 ("CartBooster"), and the merchant that installs or uses CodeCorrect ("Merchant"). They apply alongside any signed order form or service agreement; where the two conflict, the signed agreement prevails.

2. Access and eligibility

CodeCorrect is made available to merchants through Shopify and may be distributed through the Shopify App Store or directly by CartBooster, depending on availability and eligibility. Merchants may access CodeCorrect through the Shopify App Store or through a separate commercial arrangement with CartBooster. Use of CodeCorrect is subject to these Terms and any additional pricing or commercial terms presented to the Merchant. CartBooster may suspend or withdraw access where the Merchant is no longer eligible, or where these Terms or any applicable pricing or commercial terms have not been accepted or have been breached.

3. What the service does

CodeCorrect detects when Shopify rejects a discount code in checkout and displays a replacement offer configured by the Merchant. The service consists of a Shopify app containing a checkout UI extension and a web pixel, together with the CartBooster campaign backend.

CodeCorrect does not alter Shopify's native discount field, does not create or manage the Merchant's discount codes, and does not guarantee that any particular offer will be accepted by Shopify.

4. Eligibility and platform requirements

CodeCorrect initially supports Shopify Plus. Availability on other Shopify plans depends on platform capabilities outside CartBooster's control. The Merchant is responsible for maintaining an active Shopify plan that supports the required checkout extensibility.

5. Merchant responsibilities

6. Data protection

In providing CodeCorrect, CartBooster acts as data processor for the Merchant. The privacy policy describes what is processed. Where CartBooster processes personal data on behalf of the Merchant, it does so in accordance with the Merchant's documented instructions and applicable data protection law.

7. Fees

Fees, billing frequency and any performance-based or usage-based charges are set out in the pricing information presented to the Merchant through Shopify, in the Shopify App Store listing, or in a separate order form or commercial agreement with CartBooster, as applicable. Where applicable, fees are charged through Shopify's Billing API and appear on the Merchant's Shopify invoice. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT.

8. Availability and support

CartBooster aims to keep the service continuously available but does not warrant uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practicable. Because CodeCorrect renders nothing until a discount code fails, an outage does not block checkout — the checkout simply behaves as it would without the app.

Support is provided by email at support@cartbooster.io. CartBooster does not offer fixed support hours, but aims to respond to support requests within a reasonable time.

9. Intellectual property

CartBooster retains all rights in the CodeCorrect software, its interfaces and its documentation. The Merchant receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its own stores during the term. The Merchant retains all rights in its own brand assets, campaign content and store data.

10. Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only to perform this agreement. This obligation survives termination.

11. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as described in these terms. To the extent permitted by law, CartBooster excludes implied warranties, including any warranty of a particular conversion rate, revenue recovery or commercial result.

CartBooster's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the total fees paid by the Merchant for CodeCorrect during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Neither party excludes liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

12. Term and termination

These Terms apply for as long as the Merchant uses CodeCorrect. Where a separate order form or commercial agreement specifies a fixed term, renewal period or termination notice, those terms will apply. Otherwise, the Merchant may stop using CodeCorrect by uninstalling the app or terminating the service, subject to any applicable Shopify billing requirements or outstanding charges. Either party may terminate immediately for material breach that is not remedied within 30 days of written notice. On termination, the Merchant uninstalls the app.

On termination, CartBooster will delete or return Merchant data as required by the Merchant's documented instructions, applicable data protection law and any applicable legal or contractual retention requirements.

13. Changes to these terms

CartBooster may update these terms. Where a change is material, CartBooster will give the Merchant 30 days' notice where reasonably practicable. If a change materially disadvantages the Merchant, the Merchant may terminate before it takes effect.

14. Governing law and venue

These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
